ENTRIES WEEK 28: 11/07/2011

The weather was Autumnal last year, lots of heavy rain, playing indoors as a result but it was definitely the same week as last year, starts the Monday after the conclusion of the Open golf. Hev won a 50k in Canada later on last year, so don't whether you are mixing up your tournament Hev wins. 25k last year if I remember rightly.

Nothing on Hev, maybe she could do with an official website which actually updates now that she has reached the level of an elite player, which would include a playing schedule.
Taking some time out after playing quite a gruelling schedule would seem a decent option from where I'm standing, also allows the elbow to fully recover. Then maybe comeback end of this month/ start of next month and play the North American swing on the hard courts.

Thanks Phil.  Yes, of course you are right. Just a senior moment there cry

Glad you are going to be there. I will be the one clapping every good shot.  Usually until my hands hurt !!!

And thanks for your comments re Hev.

After a bit of detective work found out that Hev's next scheduled tournament is Washington WTA starting on 25/7.

That was clever Guess she's going for the big points, and also probably needs a bit of time to heal that elbow.

It's also a weak field so a decent opportunity to pick up a boat load of points, should be a direct entry.

I might pop down from London too (make the most of the freelancing life). Quite intrigued to see Johanna Konta.

Boggo now 2nd ALT with 2 SE's to clear, Phillips 3rd. 2 Top 100 players have pulled out so that's good news.

strange that Aptos looks like it could end up having such a low cut. maybe cause there's a big clay challenger in Columbia.

Probably more to do with it being in the same week as Granby, which does seem like very strage scheduling.

Robbo's got a WC into Woking, which she needed as she hadn't originally entered.

This doesn't show on the ITF list nor on TF's Moderator's list. Is that just 'cos they are not updated?

I think they can only show the WCs of the players that have already entered.

Boggo draws 2nd seed Donald Young. Baker has Artem Sitak which he will fancy I would have thought.
