Wanting Fleming and Rae to progress following the commonwealth games Gold medal.
is jamie murrays standing in the game going down as he used to attract top 10 singles players or top 5 doubles players in mixed doubles?
I would imagine that most top players are starting to see Jamie as a bit of a joke. He has had 9 different partners in the last 6 months and his ranking is only where it is because of the 860 points (almost half his total) from 3 tournaments where he played with Andy.
totally concur with what you say ! Look At myrni now seeded 2 at Wimbledon also Butorac I think Jamie Murray thought he was too good for Butorac but obviously other way round

He has since admitted what was clear to most of us at the time, even without the benefit of hindsight, i.e. that splitting from Booty was a mistake.
"I got some bad advice, other players telling you they wanted to play with you, then going back on their word. I was young and I got swayed by that, not realising what I had with Eric, and not really understanding the doubles tour, where people get screwed all the time. Everyone wants to find the best partner they can. At the end of the day it's business. It's pretty cut-throat. But yeah, that's a decent-sized regret for me. In the same situation now I wouldn't have done it. But it happened and that's it."
It seems like Jamie is actually quite a decent doubles player, so it would have been fascinating to see where those two might have got to had he taken a longer-term approach.

Excellent article. Thanks for the link, Steven.
Interestingly, although Booty seems to have established a solid partnership with Jean-Julien Rojer & they were the ninth-seeded pair in SW19, they've just been beaten in straight sets (4, 3 & 3) by the unseeded Aussies, Ashley Fisher & Hutch's erstwhile partner, Stephen Huss, while Mirnyi & Nestor (2), went down in straight sets (4 & 4) in the first round to Kevin Anderson & Julian Knowle!
Wow! They did well to turn the first set round, winning the tie-break by 8-6, after being 2-6* down! With a bit of luck, they'll have started to get used to one another's style of play after that.
