RE: Week 25 Futures - Japan F7 ($10K) - Tokyo-Akishima - Grass

I would like to add my congrats, you are having a great season despite a few physical problems and I look forward to see you continuing to climb the rankings. Soon they will be asking you to come to their tournaments.

sorry guys but i lost 62 62, it was horrendously windy and i couldnt get into the match because he was serving bombs and i was making very few first serves.
tried to get back into it in the second set and was close but just was one of those days today im afraid.
Disappointing but it happens and i move onto manchester next week now to keep the ball rolling and keep improving.

In my head its the toughest thing because i know i can beat high ranked players and i want to get up the rankings quickly, but to do that is near impossible, the more realistic way is to play more and more tournaments and slowly get up there taking your opportunities as and when you get them. Which i feel i have done fairly well out here with the conditions and such.

Thanks for the support and i will keep you upto date during manchester with the info even though some of you will know more than me at british events!
Long flight home tomorrow.

Bad luck, it must be gutting to lose just as the points for winning start to jump. But like you say, as long as you keep moving in the right direction and do your best to take any opportunities you can, there's not much more anyone can ask of you. You'll be up 70-80 places in the next ranking list and up around 200 since the start of the year, so that can't be bad!

Hopefully you realise how much we appreciate a player coming on here and giving us a good picture of what has happened in matches, win or lose and good luck on the proper grass in Manchester!

thank its not a problem at all, i mean it takes a few minutes out of my day, not always the nicest feeling discussing a loss but im happy to do it.
I know im going to get opportunities i just have to learn that i dont HAVE to take every single one each time, and if i keep progressing i will get there.

these are the things that differ from person to person and why mentality is so big in tennis.
I will be at frinton yeah, im playing all of the british ones and will be doing county week at cromer in the week between the grass (after frinton) and the hard courts in london.
Havent asked for a wild card to frinton as im not sure if i will get in on my ranking direct yet. i might do.

Hope to see you there

Hard luck Fitzy, but just sounds as if the guy was better on the day which happens.

But your right in so much is numbers game. As is often said, the more players, the more chance some will break through, and the more you put yourself in with a chance to go deep, the more chance one or two weeks you'll make it.

All the best for Manchester.

Good effort in Japan, Fitzy. At least you don't have to change your flight and should have time to get over the jetlag before you compete in Manchester. Moving upwards - great. Keep playing, keep challenging yourself but most of all enjoy it whilst you're doing what you really want to do.
