RE: Week 25 Futures - Japan F7 ($10K) - Tokyo-Akishima - Grass

Hi guys you will all be sound asleep as i post this for sure unless some of you are pulling an all nighter!
It rained a little this morning and throughout my match today which helped the court no end. That mixed with the fact i had those new sand shoes meant i was able to move around the court perfectly.

I put in a great performance and won 64 63. If i put the same in tomorrow there is no reason why i wont win. Good day all around and tomorrow i play niki who isnt a fan of this surface so hope i can take advantage of that.
These are the matches i need to start winning to move up the rankings.

it was 38 yesterday, no wonder if felt so hot.

Got pictures of me playing here on cd, not sure how i could share them with you.

Superb stuff Fitzy. 4pts for the trip now, a good minimum.....you can double that with a win tomorrow. No pressure!

Well done! Any chance of a wild card for Manchester as I don't think you are going to make qualifying!

Well played. It took Alex Ward three sets to beat Rugrat earlier this year. Today's win will give you a ranking in the 860s. smile

Wel done, Fitzy.

But you don't want 800s, let me offer you 700s ( looks quite possible ) with a QF win  smile

Feeling good, if i win tomorrow i have to change my flight home which i have booked for saturday lunch time, a good problem to have i guess!

Well done, Fitzy, that's a really good result and definitely opens up a decent chance to get to the semis if things go well.

Don't worry, you haven't 'wasted' a WC - you can only get an SE for a tournament on the same continent (unless there are no tournaments on the same continent, but that doesn't apply here), so a WC was the only way you could get into Manchester. It must be nice to have a few earned WCs in the bank! Though carry on beating top 500 players like this and you might not even need them soon!

He actually won by 3 & 4, as he said (& as confirmed on the ATP site).

Well done, lad!   No seeds left in your half of the draw, either, whereas there are three still standing in the other! wink
