But an Eleanor win qualifies her for the "Winning Streak" thread along with 5 other British women who are recorded there as winning at least 10 matches in a row :
Naomi Broady, Anne Keothavong, Sue Barker, Virginia Wade and Elena Baltacha.
Comparing how the two Brits here picked up their ranking points, I'd have been stunned if Eleanor hadn't won today and I'll be surprised if the score when it comes out is at all close.

Happy to see Ellie win as although I like all British players, Ellie has by far the bigger future. Sorry if thats a tad harsh. Semi will be a big test but on current form who knows. I wonder which part of Ellie's game is excelling on this surface, because it should be a surface on which she struggles. Then again clay plays as fast as grass now doesn't it with the faster balls.
I'm not going to get that imagine, but thanks to you, I will get the Nicholas Cage 'forlorn face' as a mental imagine every time I see a result with Eleanor from now on.
