Ah fair enough I wasn't sure as I thought she was ranked at about 120. I thought anyone over about 105 had to qualify for grand slams

even so the point still stands, who knows what may have happened if Wardy had had a tougher 1st rd than Cox.

But i think fiddling with the draw even further is too much, you have seeding spots to protect the top players already, everyone else just has to rely on luck.

Definitely agree with the idea of not letting wild cards and qualifiers face each other. That, or do away with seedings, too.

 She was ranked higerh 6 weeks ago at the cut-off point for the main draw.

Having been out for a walk a lunch time, I hope they do put Laura's match on CC/C1 - its a horrible swirling wind in London which is not a good omen for Laura.
