RE: Wimbledon Draw - Ladies

Katie a set down by 12:18.

To be fair to Katie, Date-Krum is playing really well. Unusual to see a woman so comfortable coming in to the net

Great to see such a comfortable serve-volleyer. Although Katie has just played a fantastic lob. 0-6 3-4*

Great fighting effort from Katie to level at 5-5 (save a match point at 3-5)
#Date-Krum playing much worse and Katie much better in the 2nd set

It's good to see that the AELTC is doing its best to "help" Heather Watson by putting her on 5th on Court 3 tomorrow. She'll be hanging around all day, and probably end up getting postponed till Wednesday.

5th after 3 men's matches. Zero chance of that one starting tomorrow. Why they don't start before noon is beyond me.

Laura's match hasn't even been allocated a court.

You'd think wouldn't you.

And one of those is Isner v Mahut so it could be a long wait

When there are delays the priority is always to complete the men's matches, to maximise their chance of a day's rest given they play best of 5. Hence all the last matches on the outside courts are women's matches. But it's frustrating for those hoping to see Laura, Heather and Emily, who may or may not get on court.

Another reason for putting players like Laura & Hev on last may be that while they don't think they can put any of the Brits on the main two show courts if they aren't playing seeds, they would be popular matches to move to CC or C1 if the matches scheduled for those courts finish early.

Having grabbed a C3 ticket online this morning though, I hope Isner-Mahut play the shortest men's match ever this time, so that the one match I really want to see on that court does actually get on!

I predict that C12 will, like last year, be crammed full with queues snaking around the back whenever the Brits are playing. It may again by the case that, if you're reasonably tall, joining the throngs watching through the gaps in the corners of the court is the best bet unless you can get there really early.

A seat right at the back of C2 on the C12 side may be the top ticket for a GB fan tomorrow - Wardy is playing there and you can catch a grandstand view of Anne/Naomi and Bally by getting up and looking over the back!

For completeness:

Anne v Naomi: court 12/1
Elena court 12/3 (after Karlovic v Tipsarevic)
Heather court 3/5 (after Isner v Mahut)
Emily: court 14/5 (after Stosur v Czink)
Laura court tbc (along with 5 others: Sharapova should be the first to go on Centre/1/2/18 if they finish early but Laura's match may well be the second choice. All other outside courts have 5 matches, with no realistic chance of an extra match being played, and the fifth may of course be moved)

How do you get tickets online?
