Heather certainly seemed able to hit the groundstrokes ok despite the injury, but the big question is can she still serve at the same speed as that was how she got the injury.

Johansson breaks to take the set 6-4. So sad, but she just can't serve properly. Real shame because Johansson was in bits before the injury and I'm sure Heather would have won in two. Can she play on? I'd think if she goes a break down she'll retire.

Personally I think she is more likely to retire if she fails to break. Holding serve is going to be far harder.

Lost on the 4th match point. Probably should have challenged the call that her "ace" on that last point was wide. I'm confident that without the injury she would have won that. Very encouraging performance for the future.
