How she'd love those 2 break points back again at 4-4
Oh, we don't know how these points went. Maybe very good serves ( edit, ah was it on TV ? then maybe some folk know different , edit edit ah cheers, Kundalini ) Just a big pity she didn't get one of them.
And in a game with so many breaks and then a different situation we don't know she would have then held. But would have had a real good chance.

The first she attempted a drop shot return off a 2nd serve but Klara read the play and made the pass; given that Emily was doing much better at the net than in long baseline rallies, it was a sensible play for her. The 2nd one was an unreturned first serve that was well placed near the corner. Emily didn't do much wrong on either.
I saw most of the final set though not the last game.

Cracking effort by Emmers, I always thought she had a decent outside chance here, but even I didn't think she would get as close as she did. Agree that Zakopalova stepped it up at 6-6, but Emily would definitely like another crack at the 15-40 4-4 point.
Very creditable performance from Emily, playing with spirit and the type of game which clearly had an unconfident Klara baffled and worried at times. Frustrating to lose 8-6 in the third for the second time at Wimbledon, but still (judging from the end of the second set and third set) a performance to be proud of.
I'm amazed that they started Ana Ivanovic on court 12 at 8.25, but it seems to have inspired her to hurry up and try and finish tonight (currently 6-0 3-1)
Heather 1st on Court 3 Laura 3rd on court 18 after Bolelli - Wawrinka and an unfinished men's match (Gulbis v Tursonov 1 set all and 5-5)
That's poor scheduling - all other women's 1st round matches are on first. They could at least have put her second on court 3 and transferred Schiavone to court 18
Edit: unfinished match now added to schedule

Given the weather forecast, and the fact Laura follows 1.5 mens matches it could be another frustrating day for Robbo. Hev at least got her info at 5.30 so wasn't hanging around too long.
i dont know where to put this so i'll put it here- can a ground pass get you onto court 2 or 3? kinda need to know soooon, sorry for posting same thing!!!!
