I predict a better representation in the 2nd round than last year
Yes, my first instincts are that that is indeed a good draw.
Bally's first round draws are amazing. Hasn't drawn a seed anywhere for over a year and I think isn't unknown to get qualifiers.
Of course a slight worry here is that any qualifier will have shown herelf to be no mug on grass and in at least some form. And at Roland Garros most of the qualifiers won their R1 matches.

Have to be very happy with that draw. No seeds in the first round and a guaranteed 2nd round place for Naomi or Anne (which after last year is a good insurance)
Not sure who I want to win out of Anne and Naomi and I don't think I will until the match starts
Thank you, will the be playing on the Tuesday then?
Serena the defending champion, is in the top half of the draw, so will open play on Tuesday, thus the bottom half of the draw will start on Monday I would have thought.

Bally: If she can avoid Wozniak, likely qualifier, will be big favourite to advance. Hev : Watched a bit of Johansson at Notts and was quite impressed, solid but with no big weapons. Would make the French girl the very marginal favourite. Laura: Kerber is out of form and not played on grass this year, but reached round 3 last year. If Laura can find her 'A' game not without chances. Emily: Zakopalova is out of form, so not beyond the realms of possibility we could get an upset here. Katie: Date-Krumm was out of form but has rediscovered some so far in this grass court season, probably our longest shot for success. Anne/Naomi: Naomi should have won at Notts but didn't, and Anne has played better since so will be the strong favourite to advance.
