If you go back to Wimbledon 2008, and including Wimbledon 2009 when Rafa withdrew after the draw, that is 12 times out of 13 Slams that Nadal and Murray have been in one half of the draw and Federer and Djokovic in the other half !

The exception was the French Open last year when Murray was in Federer's half.

In that time, not really surprisngly, Nadal and Murray have ended up playing 5 times ( have met 6 times in total in Grand Slams incl Aus Open 2007 L16 with Nadal 4 - 2 up ), all before the final, with Murray only playing Ferderer ( twice ) and Djokovic ( once ) in finals with resuts we know only too well.

Edit : I'd stopped there because we were going back to times when Murray wasn't in the top 4 and Djokovic was in Nadal's half at the French Open 2008. But actually Muray was also in Nadal's half then and at Aus Open 2008. So since the beginning of 2008, Murray has been in Nadal's half 14 times and Federer's half once.

I saw Murray was actually in Federer's half at USO 2007 and wasn't at Wimbledon 2007 so have left it at that.

Pretty poor draw all round from a British perspective with Ward, Cox and Evans all getting pretty tough draws.
