RE: Week 24 - Wimbledon Men's Qualifying

another big bonus for liam and this, is that he really getting close to the stage where he could be seeded for the odd weak futures, giving him an even better chance of a smooth surge up the rankings

Liam's rank will be around 670

Oli's rank could sneak into the top 800

Great win for Liam to eke out. George won't join him and Oli though having just lost 6-3 6-4 to Jamie

Liam/Oli have dropped the first set 6-3 but Sean/Dr No lead 2-0*

find it laughable how some people on mtf are saying its a joke he lost a set 6-1 to this guy. just because he doesnt play on grass, doesnt miraculoulsy make him a bad player, this is still an amazing win

Di Mauro has been known to be relatively poor on grass, but the thing is what he lacks in grass game, he makes up in experience, the guy is used to winning and knows how to win and the fact Liam toughed it out in a tight situation is more and didn't get over-awed in his 1st Wimbledon experience is very encouraging. Bautista-Agut may be a bridge too far, I fancy Golding's chances against Ilhan though.

That's weird - I'd be the opposite. personally I'd rather face Bautista-Agut on grass then Ilhan. Don't know why like

Wasn't necessarily the opponent but our player I was analysing. Obviously I'd rather have Ilhan than Bautista-Agut but I think Oli's game on grass is bigger at the moment!

Bautista-Agut had the same record on grass as di Mauro before today - W 1 L 2.

And will Oli's opponent be Ilhan? He is 10-10 in the 3rd with Janowicz at the moment. Hopefully these two recent DC foes will carry on knackering each other out for a bit longer!

yes! check mark time for ricey and thornely as they go a bit of ways toward reversing their wc injustice by winning 2 and 4. they'll play winner of 3rd seed emmrich/siljestrom v robert/motti, the latter up a set.
