Out of interest.
If she wins, will she be our youngest itf winner? I know Laura also won a 10k a while back.

Laura's 10k win was only a few months after her junior Wimbledon win so she would have still been 14.

That's brilliant - well done Eleanor. Good move to keep away from the limelight at this time of year too.

Probably just outside the top 900.

At the present 14 points would place someone between 916 and 930.

Fran was "virtually certain" to join the Top 25 table this week, but one of the very few remote possibilities that could change that was Eleanor winning this week. Considering the draw included last week's winner, it seemed Fran was pretty safe!

Yes, I was asking for trouble putting that on the top 25 table, but as ways of getting tripped up go, another Brit winning her first senior title at the age of 15 is about as good as it gets! biggrin

Brilliant result. Well done Eleanor.

She hadn't even been threatening to win a title till now so this is great news.

A remarkable tournament for Eleanor, considering her junior tournaments on clay this year, and a major step up in the learning process. Junior matches tend to be more conservative, so I guess that she has thrived on a bit of extra pace and shorter points here.

Does anyone else think Eleanor sounds a bit like Eileen?

I actually didn't bring a coat today as it was suprisingly warm. So if someone could just point me in the direction of the door, that would be splendid.
