Good effort from Colin. You could have seen this being very one sided.

Good looking effort by Colin.  It is such a pity that we maybe never will know just how good a singles player Colin could be,  maybe moreso that he might never know.

2-2* in the second.

Dan seems to be serving well. 69% of first serves in and 91% of first serve points won.

Agreed! Odd giving a WC to a doubles specialist, but at least they didn't repeat last year's mess of giving an Eastbourne WC to a singles player who hadn't got a Wimbledon main draw WC and thus had to choose between Eastbourne MD & Wimbledon qualies. And much as I understand why he decided to become a doubles specialist, I do think Colin would be at least challenging for the GB top 3 by now had he concentrated on singles.

Talking of challenging for the top 3, what a great start from Evo biggrin - now 6-2 2-2* - I'd love to see Dimitrov get mashed, if only for all the BOTB pain he's caused me by being a card-carrying muppet!

I assume that Colin was in the right place at the right time to get the extra wild card after James getting a SE created an extra slot.
