Lewis Burton lost to (q2) Illya Marchenko (UKR ) WR 108 6 - 4 3 - 6 6 - 3
Very good looking performance from Lewis. There were only 2 points against each other's serves in the final set until 4 - 3 when Marchenko broke. Lewis saved a MP at 40 - 30 in the next game to take it to deuce but lost on the 2nd MP.

Valiant effort from young Lewis against the WR 108. I reckon the depth in British tennis is getting better than the last couple of years, which is encouraging.
He was very close as well. At 3-3* in the third he had 0-30.
Milton lost 1 & 4

I'm pretty sure 'Jimmy' got broken again then broke back again. Another good performance, if only he could turn this match around and get some ranking points for it ... and guarantee a GB qualifier into the bargain. It's ridiculous that the way the points work may mean Sean might end up with nothing despite beating a top 200 player too, though he has a point to break back in the 2nd as Slabba serves for the match.

Slabinsky wins 7-6, 6-3
Marsalek was broken at 3-3 but broke straight back and now leads 5-4*
The ranking point system is indeed unfair. Sean gets nothing for his great win earlier today and Marcus has nothing to show for winning an ATP qualifying round two weeks in a row.

Yes, I said earlier that there looked to have been quite a number of good looking performances and results and added a . These continued but ultimately it should maybe be a too for such little reward.
Over half the qualifying seeds ( ranked from WR 101 to 252 ) have either lost to or more generally unfortunately won pretty tight matches with Brits.
Mentions particularly go to Willis, Burton, Golding, Thornley and Marsalek.
For all their efforts no ranking points reward for them. Slabba remains. Well done to him on a guaranteed 6 points and go make it 12 by avenging Marsalek's loss to Matsukevich.
For the record we now have the two missing results from the first round. They still don't appear on live score but according to the draw sheet Bloomers lost 7-5, 7-5 against Jordan Cox while Burton beat Barry King 3-6, 6-2, 7-6(4)
