Slabba beat Feaver  7 - 6 (3)  6 - 1

He's now due to play Thornley in Q2 with the winner earning at least 6 points.

Winner of that plays Marsalek or probably ( edit : now confirmed ) (q8) Matsukevich (RUS) in the FQR  ( worth 12 points )

Been quite a number of pretty good looking results and performances from the Brits  smile

A reasonable scoreline against someone as good as Schuettler.

Burton was *1-3 and 0-40 but fought back to hold and then broke in the next game

*3-3

His first round match didn't appear on LS and is not on the results page so he might have got a walkover or a very early retirement from King.

Valiant effort from young Lewis against the WR 108. I reckon the depth in British tennis is getting better than the last couple of years, which is encouraging.

That's a pity re Burton, but impressive to take a set off one of last year's quarter-finalists!

Unfortunately, you don't get a single ranking point here unless you reach the FQR.
