FQR: (q2) Edward Corrie WR 1325 beat David Holiner (USA) UNR by 3-6 6-3 6-2 smile.gif
FQR: Jamie Whiteford UNR beat (q5) Kamil Pajkowski (CAN) WR 1535 by 0 & 2 biggrin

L32: (Q) Edward Corrie WR 1339 v (Q) Guillermo Gomez-Diaz (ESP) UNR
L32: (Q) Jamie Whiteford UNR v Joseph Cadogan (TRI) WR 1044

Edward has been particularly lucky with his draw because the no. 4 seed Jesse Levine withdrew today after play in the main draw had started and he has got his slot in the draw. The QF place at stake in that section has ended up being between four qualifiers, with Edward the highest-ranked of the four! Just hope for his sake that he can take full advantage!

So much for Edward's brilliant draw ... but at least there's some consolation from a GB point of view as Jamie gets his first ranking point in his first Futures events since retiring in QR2 in Chiswick last July and his first-ever Futures main draw!

L32: (Q) Edward Corrie WR 1339 lost to (Q) Guillermo Gomez-Diaz (ESP) UNR by 3 & 4 bleh
L32: (Q) Jamie Whiteford UNR beat Joseph Cadogan (TRI) WR 1044 by 0 & 3 biggrin

L16: (Q) Jamie Whiteford UNR v (3) Michael Yani (USA) WR 371

Although he had never emerged from qualifying before, Jamie has taken sets off a number of ranked players, e.g. he took Fitzy to 10-8 in the final set tiebreak in Edinburgh in 2009.

Three rounds of qualifying and one in the main draw and only nine games lost. Impressive stuff so far.
