James has led a charmed life in the last two rounds of the tournament. I just hope he can keep the momentum going if & when the rain stops & play resumes! Anyone know how slippery a customer Mannarino is likely to prove to be?
I see no reason, personally. He won't be playing daily at Wimbly so tiredness shouldn't be an issue unless he reaches the finals in Eastbourne. And if he reaches the finals of a Tour event I don't think he should bother much about a Slam given the points and the cash!
Also, he'll feel a bit silly if he misses Eastbourne and then draws Nadal at Wimbly.

don't be silly, the following are reserved should Boggo come through the qualies: Federer, Nadal, Djokovic.
Unless he has an injury he'd be crazy not too play Eastbourne. even if he loses 1st rd if a couple of extra grand in his pocket anyhow.

He's a decent player but Wardy could hardly have asked for a nicer draw at this stage of Queen's! He is 11-2 v Brits, having only lost to the Norfolk boys (Aucks & Bloomers, both a few years ago), so maybe when James greets him at the net at the start of the match, he should fake a Norfolk accent and greet him with an "are ya reet boi?" just to get him worried.
Anyway, brilliant win for James today, goodness knows why he wasn't closing matches out earlier this year because he has seemed very calm and efficient here (given how big a match it was for hum), like he always has at DC. Back in the top 200 (I agree with Indiana that 193 is the best estimate at the moment), if only for a week, but more importantly, renewed confidence in his own ability to close these matches out.

Actually it was me - and Crivoi winning twice today puts him back to 194 (until he beats Mannarino!)

Sorry, anything I don't double check today, I get wrong ... and there's so much happening (work as well as tennis), I keep being tempted not to check!
