Yea, if anything not badly timed with Reynolds going to have to serve to stay in the set, though Boggo looked well into it anyway.
Trust the LTA are watching one of the quite clearly top 3 GB men ( arguably no 2 ) in action when he's reaaonably fit, as distiinct to have someone asking him absurd questions in relation to his world ranking and querying how much he really cares these days.
Boggo playing v well. Keeps getting 30 alls but then Reynolds keeps on using the big serve forehand combo so I guess you have to give him credit. Reynolds started poorly for first two games this morning, lots of mi****s so a possible positive for Alex after the restart? Inverdale's here too, seems to be a Boggo fan.
Interesting that you say Reynolds started badly, yet he won 5 of the first 6 games ... we'd better hope you're right and that Alex comes out firing a bit better than he did this morning when they restart!

Jeff just said Reynolds started poorly for the first two games with lots of miss hits. This ties in with British is Best's reports that Boggo won the first 7 points of the match ( and partly explains why ), serving to love and then going 40 - 0 up on Reynolds's serve before Reynolds came back to win that second game, presumably after finding his timing a bit better.
Wouldn't want him to really lose it again, because of a significant break, at such a point in the match

Ah, thanks for clarifying - I didn't start following this morning until Alex was 1-4 down and didn't really want to read back and find out how he got there LOL

Unlucky from Boggo today. It really was a match for the cliche lover as I could spend ages droning on about winning the big points if I wanted. Reynolds had so many 30-30s when serving whilst Alex seemed to either hold to love or get broken. Haven't seen the stats, but wouldn't be bowled over if Alex actually won more points today. The one area where Reynolds did have the wood over Alex was in any prolonged baseline rally, as they tended to be 70-30 in Reynolds favour. Unlucky Boggo.
I haven't seen him play for too long and as a result had forgotten what a nice guy he is. I have a lot of time for him and really hope he keeps going for at least a few more years.
Edit: One more point I'd forgotten, as it was spitting with rain for most of the match it meant the court would have been quite greasy. I can't say for definite, but got the impression that Reynolds trusted his footwear a lot more when chasing around the court and Alex seemed to not have 100% confidence. This could be me imagining things though.

Might just be you imagining things, I saw a bit of Reynolds's 1st round match against Jones and he slipped over a few times and shouted at the umpire about how damn slippy the court was.
