The third set eventually went to a tie-break, which David lost by 4-7. cry

The Rice result already up in the results on the ATP scoreboard, making a total of five Q1 results and five Q2 results showing and you'ed think no live matches in progress.

Pretty ridiculous.  Is it the LTA that a re responsible for properly updating the Nottingham info ?

Only court 2 and court 8 matches are recorded for QR1 though missing the Broady vs Milton result from court 2, which we know from e;sewhere.

It's ruddy annoying I am sure to a lo of folk when you think you have a service and it is as inadequate as this with apparently folk saying many freezes as well.  Why do I doubt that it has been a real priority to make this as efficient and effective as possible ?

Ricey missed an easy overhead at 4-5 in the TB.

Liam had to retire with a back injury after losing the first set against Marsalek.
Bloomers was a set up but down in the second in his 2QR.

I'm sure we'd all love to know where the problem lies, Indy.  "Ridiculous" doesn't begin to describe the apparent fiasco in the provision of up-to-the-minute results in this day & age!  If the fault's technical rather than directly attributable to LTA incompetence, given the value of the tournament, I think we should be told.  We are owed an explanation! furious

Is anyone really surprised with the coverage for this event? I guess with Queens running at the same time as this challenger it is relegated to futures status. So we should feel fortunate to even have a total of five Q1 results and five Q2 results by the end of play.
In my opinion the trouble is that very few at LTA are really interested in British tennis at this level otherwise we would always have full coverage, even though this is classes as  an ATP event.
have expressed this belief to Roger Draper more than once and he usually says "things are about to change" - How many years ago was that?

Yes, whilen you were posting that SC, I was editing my post to say that I noticed  that the QR1 results only came from Courts 2 and 8 (strikes me if you can have results for 2 courts, with any will you can have them for the rest )  save Broady vs Milton which I am sure noone was interested in

I also added at the end a bit of a  cynical comment about how much of a priority such a service might be as far as the LTA are concerned, a view I see basically shared by mjd

Thanks Phil.  Pity for Liam after whipping Josh, though James probably deserves a bit of luck having seemed to be playing pretty decently in the last couple of months.

This having been an all Brit section from the start, we had a guaranteed qualifier from the FQR between the winners of these 2 matches, but if Bloomers doesn't win QR2 it will certainly be a pretty unexpected FQR match and qualifier.

So I see.  About bloody time, yet the LTA still can't be @rsed to update the qualy draw sheet!  Unbelievable in this day & age!  disbelief  furious  The only Brit qualifier will be Bloomers or James Marsalek...! hmm

This is the LTA we are talking about. We should consider ourselves lucky that info ever appears on their website.

Not been a great day for the men resultswise, given in Nottingham the Bloomers / Marsalek section was all Brit and always going to provide a British qualifier and only Boggo is through to the FQR at Queens.
