I just found out that it was the bet265 scoreboard which was the one up to date one in time to follow the last game.
Naomi served for the match in the second set at 6-5 and was broken before losing the tie break, so to come back and win from those setbacks shows good resolve.
I Dont think she did mate, i dunno if thats what bet365 said, but i listened to the bbc live commentary and she served to take it into the breaker. She saved a set point at *5-6 but she wasnt broken at all during the match.

Peng is at a CH of WR 20, after interestingly retiring in the last 32 of the French Open when 6 - 3 1 - 2 down to Schiavone ( hasn't played since having got a 1st round bye here ). She is having a very good year, and is ranked 12 in the WTA race and is a Wimbledon quarter finalist from 2007 ( has reached at least the QFs of all four slams ).

will be tough for Broady against the 'future world no.1'.
Quite so, and a good win of course, but Garcia is of course the current world no 188 (whoops, 150 actually) - which is probably a reasonable indication of her ability.
Apropos of that, I remember like it was yesterday seeing the 17-year old Maria Kirilenko pushing Serena Willams very hard before losing in 3 sets at the French Open in 2004. Future No 1? - you betcha!
I've always thought it a bit of a shame that Maria never quite got there - although I confess that my regret may not be entirely related to her tennis abilities - as it would have meant she'd have been on the telly more - although she was on for a couple of matches at the 2011 French Open, I'm glad she's got rid of that horrible "peak" thing she used to wear on her head, good lord what does she see in Igor Andreev? ....
Now where was I ... can't remember, oh well!

Allow me to be suggest that the actual WR of the majority of improving young players is not that reasonable an indication of their ability. Gee, see how quickly they can go from say WR 188 to WR 150
Garcia I'd say is such a young improving player, probably indeed shown in her taking that set of Sharapova in the French Open R2 after beating the WR 91 in straight sets in R1.
Her WTA race position of 110 race I would suggest is more indicative. Even their race position would be underestimating the linearly improving player, but then again I am not sure I really like linear players, especially females.
Who knows where she will end up, almost certainly not WR 1, maybe a never really made it at all.
Anyway, just saying. Hey - ho

Don't you mean "improved young players", rather than "improving young players".
Or if you can predict the future, then one might assume that you have made a fortune on the National Lottery, and are messaging from your super-yacht in the Caribbean.
And please, no more sexist remarks from you about the appearance of women players on this forum, better suited to the Sun readers' comments I think ...

Most "improving to date" and hence "improved" players don't really stop improving any more on the date we happen to be discussing them, generally it's part of a continuing process for a time, which I made clear I have no idea where it will end in Garcia's case, so I shall stick with "improving" and you can continue to reside in Pedant City, my friend
Centre Court (from 11.00hrs) 1. Sorana Cirstea vs. Daniela Hantuchova 2. Misaki Doi vs. Heather Watson 3. Anna Tatishvili vs. Ana Ivanovic 4. Peng Shuai vs. Naomi Broady 5. Rae/Watson vs. Govortsova/Kudryavtseva
Twenty aces from Naomi, and only one break point faced in 15 service games. That's pretty impressive serving consistency.
Great to see. Clearly when Naomi she gets it right, she can get it very right as opposed to last week when she was reported to be having real serving problems.
