Sam saves 3 set points on her own serve and forces Tatishvili to serve for the set. 4-5*

She won 4 or 5 games from at least 2-3* (probably *1-3) down

Samantha Murray broke Tatishvili as she served for the set but then promptly got broken again and lost it 7-5

Well done Heather. Got there in the end 7-5. Seemed to struggle winning points on first serve in the 2nd set. Much better on 2nd serve.

Emily held her serve the first 4 times despite serving under 50%, while making no impact on her opponent's serve. Eventually broken for 4-6 then again at the start of the 2nd set as she double faulted twice. Currently Rybarikova is serving 44% first serves in play while Emily is at 43%. EWS has 0-40 on MR's serve. She breaks for *2-3. Then broken straight away 2-4*

4-6 3-6 - a match of missed first serves yet surprisingly few breaks or indeed games with break point opportunities.

Mel breaks at the start of the match *1-0 but faces 2 bps on her own serve. Broken for 1-1.

Marino breaks and takes the set 6-4 - looks like a good contest though

Genuinely did think that was a winnable one for Mel. Seems not though.... *5-1 down in the 2nd

8 of the last 9 games went to the Canadian. Mel's certainly not the first Brit this week to start brightly then fade. Either that or the higher-ranked players are taking most of a set to find their grass court feet.
