i don't have the right kind of phone for this kind of thing but would appreciate peoples' thoughts. Does it look like the kind of thing that could easily be adapted for use at futures and challengers?
I've downloaded it, I'll let you know how useful it turns out to be once the tournaments start next week. You get standard ATP/WTA live scores for these tournaments, so they're probably taking that feed for the live scores. It's a nice idea though, especially for those who aren't used to where to find things like scores normally.

Not sure there is a lot of benefit to it over and above the standard live scores app on the atp/wta site that works the rest of the year too.
The 'standard live scores' cannot be viewed on an iPhone, nor can any websites that require Flash Player to view; The LTA app should therefore be useful along with all the other 'free to download' apps for tournaments. (Am in process of looking at alternatives to lugging my laptop around/battery life options etc)

The are buttons at the bottom of the flash live scores page to download an app for iPhone / Android.
Yes, I would agree the ATP/WTA app is definitely worth a download. However, I've been very disappointed with the RG app. I found it to be very annoying and not terribly user-friendly. US Open and Aus Open apps are much better IMO. It's good for Challenger events too, if they're covered properly. A shame it doesn't cover women's events exclusively though, unless they're joint events with the men's.
