Full draw here. Unsurprisingly, a fair number of Brits in contention &, if the seeding is anything to go by, with a better chance of success than in the singles, hence the separate thread:
R1: (1) Colin Fleming & Ross Hutchins vs (WC) Chris Eaton & Josh Goodall
R1: Rik de Voest & Somdev Devvarman (RSA)/IND) vs Jamie Delgado & Edouard Roger-Vasselin (FRA) (*)
R1: Andreas Beck & Ryan Sweeting (GER/USA) vs (WC) Dan Cox & James Ward
R1: (WC) David Rice & Sean Thornley (**) vs (2) Carsten Ball (AUS) & Ken Skupski
(*) Wonder where Jonny is. I sincerely hope he's not injured.
(**) Good to see David & Sean getting a wild card, but did they have to be pitted agin the second seeds in the first round?
Now Ken, mate, don't you think it would be great to have as many Brits as possible in the Wimbledon MD.
Now I am sure you'll find a nice pal that you can team up with so that you'll be there, but others are in big need of some ranking points by probably having to win a couple of matches here.

The "Today's results" page of the LS is yet again incomplete, so it's impossible to find out how Sean & David fared against Ball & Skups ( & ), but Col & Hutch have just taken the first set against Chris & Josh by 6-2 & Delgo & ERV lead de Voest & Devvarman by 6-4 *5-3.

Now you see it, now you don't! The result appeared fleetingly at the bottom of the board & disappeared before I could write it all down, but I think the second seeds won by 6-3 7-6(2?), so they clearly weren't feeling very charitable... Just what are those people playing at? Whatever it is, it's certainly not "keeping the fans fully informed"!
Edited in: omission now rectified & Skups & Ball in fact won by 6-3 7-6(7), so David & Sean at least went down fighting!

Sean and Dave did have set point in the tie break with sean serving at 6-5 ,but skupski hit the shot of the match to level . On the whole anyone watching who didn know would have been hard pushed to tell who was seeded and who was not.
Elsewhere in the draw, , a third success in the men's doubles:
R1: Andreas Beck & Ryan Sweeting (GER/USA) lost to (WC) Dan Cox & James Ward by 6-4 4-6 [5-10]
The outcome of the other relevant first-round match is also now available, so the full QF line-up (from the Brit perspective - curiously, the outcome of the fourth, Brunström/Nielsen vs Elgin/Kudryavtsev is still outstanding!) is:
QF: (1) Colin Fleming & Ross Hutchins vs Yves Allegro & Adrian Mannarino (SUI/FRA)
QF: Jamie Delgado & Edouard Roger-Vasselin (FRA) vs(3) Dustin Brown & Martin Emmrich (GER/GER)
QF: (WC) Dan Cox & James Ward vs (2) Carsten Ball (AUS) & Ken Skupski
For info, Ball & Skupski beat Rice and Thornley by 6 - 3 7 - 6 (7)
So, the finsihing line will come too soon in Rice & Thornley's run towards a combined 500 ranking by 6th June. One win here would have brought them quite close but probably still short, but two wins, i.e. getting to the semi finals, would have certainly done the trick.
If the LTA are going to stick to their definitive no exceptions statement re Wimbledon MD WCs, I guess at least there is doubles qualifying for Wimbledon which I take it they could get into if they want.

Alternatively the LTA could stop being such morons (I a me being way too polite here) and recognise that the 250 / 500 rule should be a guildline and not a rigid criteria.
