Ouch!! What happened to Eaton!! Im hoping its his injury had an influence because thats an awful scoreline
I don't know, it seems inexplicable given how much more consistently he's been playing on other surfaces this year. I've tweeted to that effect to see if it unearths anyone who knows what happened, but no luck yet.

QR2: Richard Bloomfield WR 344 v (q3) Ilija Bozoljac (SRB) WR 192 (CH 101 in 2007)
QR2: (q5) James Ward WR 215 v Takao Suzuki (JPN) WR 542 (CH 102 way back in 1998)
- the winners of the two matches above to play each other in the FQR
FQR: Alex Bogdanovic WR 372 v (q1) Yuichi Sugita JPN WR 182 - H2H 1-0, 6-4 3-6 6-4 Lexington 2009
The only H2H data for the main draw so far is that Milton lost to Bemelmans 2 & 1 at Bressuire (FRA Future) in 2009, but has of course improved considerably since then.

Not bad draws for Cox and Milton (although not the best), horrible draw for Evans.
morning guys, sorry for the sporadic updates, was difficult to keep track of what was going on, lots of delays etc. wasn;t really much rain but the courts weren't drying quickly. was cold and windy so really a day for just getting through the matches, not much spectacular tennis on display. few thoughts.
Boggo didn't have tp do much to see of Bambridge, it's hard to get a feel from a match like that, i think alex was happy just to do the minimum needed to get through it, obvisuky with a 2nd match later in the day in mind. some good shots from Luke and a decent looking serve, but it was never really going to be enough.
Ludavic was always going to be a tougher proposition, the Frenchman had a very solid serve, finding the lines out wide time and time again. in the rallies Boggo was generally aheed though. had a bit of a scare going 0-40 down at one point in the 1st set but a few good serves turned it around to keep things level and when he got his chance to break he took it then serve out the set. 2nd set i think alex was a bit lax, had sever times 0-30, 15-30 and once even 0-40 but he never found that break. Stepped it up each time on his own serve when he felt in trouble, eventually into a breaker with Luadvic starting of with a DF and alex never looked back.
highlight of the match had to be this tiny little ball girl, who loved to have a chat with Alex between the points!, constantly asking alex if he'd like his towel or if he wanted 2 or 3 balls before he served etc. . poor girl she looked frozen out there and was happy to run around any chance she got. at one point she told alex she wanted to go home, he replied so do i, you can though, i'm stuck here till i finish the match.
I'll be back again today, so will try and post more updates, havent checked the forcast though.
