Yay! Into the semis they march, winning by 5-7 6-3 [10-7]! Their opponents will be the top seeds, Katarina Srebotnik & Nenad Zimonjic (SLO/SRB). Good day for the Murray clan!
The semi-final is 3rd match on court 1 (10am start). According to the RG website it follows a Men's Legends Over 45 match featuring Martina Hingis and Lindsay Davenport (bet it won't take long for someone to complain about that mistake)
Fair play to him, he's earned 12,500 euros so far, and I doubt whether more than 100 people have watched any of his matches.
If you can get stuck in before the ATP & WTA wise up to this absurd situation, doubles is a good earner for the not-good-enough-to-make-it-in-singles player.

Watching mixed doubles at Wimbledon is always a highlight for me!
I don't see the major problem with the mixed, its only at Grand Slam events so why all the fuss? There are more things to consider when choosing which events are placed than the prize money.
Maybe Jamie is re-inventing himself as a mixed doubles specialist ....
Re-inventing? Wasn't he always a mixed doubles specialist? One Wimbledon title and 6 slam semis in 11 attempts suggest he might be!
RYA has explained my slightly harsh point ; that Jamie doesn't even seem to be a mens doubles specialist any more ....
And seems to have no real interest in changing that. 8 partners in the first 5 months of the season is a joke and were it not for his brother generously helping him to 860 points over the last 7 months he would barely be in the top hundred.
I doubt Ratty will be replying for the next few hours - I assume when he saw today's OoP, he caught the early Eurostar and then paid a ticket tout thousands of pounds so he could get in to watch Mansour Bahrami and Mark Woodforde take on Guy Forget and Henri Leconte in the O45 doubles today.
I mean, with Bahrami and Leconte on opposite sides of the net, think of all the jolly japes - poor Ratty will be laughing so hard, he might split his sides.
(or in other words, I'm as cynical as Ratty when it comes to assessing the comedy value of Bahrami and his mates )
