Some support for Bloomers is nice to see. it's a shame none of it comes from the governing body.
i know he was critical of them last year, but it woudn't it have been nice for them to be shown to be the bigger man. they gave boggo a QWC (which i obviously support) so why not Richard? Ok Boggo's had the better career, but Blooms has, overall, had better results on grass than Boggo.
Edit: the only possibitly is that he's been given a Eastbourne WC, however you'd think there is a strong chnace that those have gone to Ward, Cox, Evo anyway.

Happy to see Cox and Evans get a wild card. Cox in particular deserves one, I know he has got most of his points in futures but his improvement over the last 12 months deserves recognition. As for Evans, lets hope this brings him out of his recent slump because until a month or so ago things were looking quite promising.
Good to see the LTA actually trying to support a few more British players this year but I will be very disappointed if Rice and Thornley don't end up with a wild card.
I don't really have much sympathy for Bloomers, I know he did well Newport but he has done bugger all of note since then.
Arguably Manish Foster should've got a QWC? She was around 200 places above oli golding in the womens' ranking then he was in the mens', and they're both the same age? Just a thought..
i think its embarrassing dan cox getting a main draw wildcard as all of his results have been at futures level and his performance at queens was poor. i cant believe bloomers hasn't even got one into qualifying i don't understand why the lta seem to have so much against him, they throw main draw wildcards at a guy who has got everything his whole life and is a permanent fixture on the futures tour and cant even extend a qualifying wc to a guy who has hardly got anything and made the semis of an atp and whose game is perfect for grass. also its absolutely unfair how cox can get a main draw wc over even the likes of golding who rose to the occasion at queens against a guy who was 1 point away from winning the whole championship and is an outstanding junior.
Also very disappointing rice/thornley havnt received a doubles one as they seem to be great guys well liked with great attitudes towards the game and have performed exceptionally during the last year and compared to the other doubles players are young and up and coming.
Hope evans/cox play each other first round what an interesting match that would be for both guys :)
