RE: Week 21 - Futures F5 ($10k) - Ramat Hasharon, Israel - Hard

You have to hope they will get a little leeway given how they have done this year.

3 Titles, 6 Finals and 7 Semi's is better than most.

Even if they don't surely they would stand a decent chance of coming through doubles qualifying?

FI: (2) David Rice WR 461 lost to (1) Amir Weintraub (ISR) WR 244 by 1 & 1 cry.gif

Weintraub, who beat Dr No in last week's Final as well, dropped just 8 games (in 10 sets) all week, including today!

Not so good news from Sean, but impressively close:

That's heart-breaking. cry  Any chance they'll still be given a wild card? please.gif  Not hard to see how much it would mean to Sean & David...

Doesn't seem unreasonable at all especially when they have come with such a sprint up the rankings.

The only thing is the LTA is as definitive about the 500 combined ranking target for doubles as they are about the 250 target for singles.

As th this week's efforts, their combined ranking is about 540 and they are about 22 points short ( for each ) of getting that down to 500.

A semi final at this coming week's Nottingham Challenger would probably do the business.

I went into slightly more detail in the Wimbledon WC thread, but that's the gist.
