Just to give some more substance to this draw, Milton won't have to beat a ranked player in order to make the QFs here. Burton is in his quarter of the draw and faces a potential R16 meeting with (5) Michael Look (AUS) WR 466, having beaten him 7-6(5), 7-5 last week at the same stage. Ward is in the same half of the draw with Marsalek in his quarter. Unfortunately for James he has to go up against (6) Roelofse who took the title last week, having beaten Milton 7-5, 6-1 in the QFs and Ward 6-1, 4-6, 7-6(5) in the SFs
Really good looking win for Ward in particular, and Milton probably faced an MP or two in that TB. They play each other in the semis - Denes Lukacs or the second seed Moser in the final.
That's excellent news, especially the Wardinator avenging last week's QF defeat. I was amazed to see on ITF that they haven't played each other before, at least not in an ATP-ranked event.

That's still a bit of a shocker given that Jack Carpenter took a set off him in January and Dan Cox, Andrew Gregory and Matthew Short have all taken more games off the Hungarian since. Makes you wonder if Josh had a plane to catch - it wouldn't make sense to throw away the extra points for winning just to play in Nottingham, but perhaps if he lost the 1st set and didn't think he had much chance of getting back into it, it might explain the bagel in the 2nd. I'm probably reading far too much into it though!
