Quite outrageous from Lewis in a very good way   biggrin

He will become the first 1992 born British guy to enter the top 1000 ( Liam, Oli and George from later years haing already done so ) and indeed probably the top 900.

I'm sure a lucky loser went on to win an ATP tournament a couple of years ago, so there is precedent!  There are 373 hits for "lucky loser" on the ATP website, I'm not going to read thru them all. I'm sure somebody here remembers!

Lewis is certainly making the most of his opportunity. I think he has a decent chance today as well, provived the excitement doesn't catch up with him....

Rajeev Ram at Newport 2009 is the one you're probably thinking of. Stakh did it in Zagreb in 2008 too.
