Steven, I live in Prague and may be able to get down to see something providing it's in the evening, I guess the OOP has evening matches so hopefully Anne and Bally are scheduled then. Real shame on the draw - anyone bar Kvitova!
Pretty unlucky to draw last week's WTA premier champion in an ITF tournament. I guess there is no WTA even in the Czech Republic (can't be bothered to check) which is why Kvitova is playing in this. Someone should tell her there's a perfectly good tournament on in Rome this week where top 10 players should be.
I guess it's similar to Caro playing a 100K in Denmark 18 months ago. Players like to support their home tournaments, and this is the biggest in the Czech Republic this year (it was a WTA International event in July last year).
Tomorrow's oop is out, and there are no evening matches (last is not before 16.00 CET). However one of the last matches on court is Anne playing doubles with Jessica Moore against Ksenia Pervak and Lesia Tsurenko. Both Anne and Bally play singles on Wednesday
Surely Petra will withdraw though? I mean all very well supporting her home tournament, but she has so little to gain from playing singles here, so fingers crossed she pulls out and just plays doubles if at all?

She may have nothing to gain but probably she wouldn't to withdraw from her home tournament at such short notice as I doubt the tournament organisers would be impressed. There is a much higher chance that she won't be particularly bothered about doing well though.

So a win over Anne and then a tame loss to Bally/Gavrilova? Yeah, I guess we should respect her for sticking to what she agreed to and for not disappointing her fans. And who knows maybe Anne will pull something out of the bag?

Our correspondent in Prague, eh? I like the sound of that
I guess one good thing about them playing/potentially playing Kvitova is that they should get evening matches when/if they play her!
