Liam lost in straights, not a good day for him. I went for luuch just before the match started and cameback with his score being 5-1 down in the second.
Pity, but happily it's very rare to see Liam lose to someone lower-ranked.

Unfortunately, it was a pretty bad loss, indeed a trouncing (0 & 1).
One result not so far picked up (I think) is that James Feaver defeated the Irish qualifier, Alan Gleeson, by 1 & 1.

To be fair he had a tough first round draw but at the same time he was bitterly disappointed at the end of his match. He comes across as a nice lad, very mature for his age and definitely for me just a minor setback.

Definitely a disappointing scoreline but the conditions were brutal with the nearly gale force winds.
Oli came back from I think 4-1 down in the second and looked alot stronger than he did 12 months ago. George had a disappointing loss but the Aussie guy he was playing didn't miss, clearly modelling his game style on a certain former number 1 player from the same country.

De Greef is only 2 places below Liam in the rankings and is still probably under-ranked. It took 3 sets for Slabba to beat him last week and he beat Dr.No in 2 sets on his way to the final the week before that.

Last match included a rally that was at least 50 shots long at setpoint in the first set tie break for the Frenchman who spoke in Russian with a Russian accent. That was easily match of the day in terms of the quality of the tennis.
