Hmmm, from what i saw today I fear for all the Brits tomorrow I'm afraid. Although I didnt see much of the Koolhof/Thornley match, and Gard and Torroni spent so much time bitching at each other, the umpire, the people watching that I kinda switched off that match.
Rice should've won in 2 sets. Had an apparent mental lapse at 4-0 up in the second. Strangest serve action I've ever seen, but he generates a hell of a lot of power behind it. Feaver played wel, but will have to step up a few gears to get close to the 2 seed Slabba might have the best chance. I saw the Koolhof/ Thornley first set tb, when Koolhof went from 6-2 to 6-5, when Sean inexplicably left a ball going past him at the net that landed about a foot inside the baseline. The match was over then, as sean lost the head with himself. Olly was impressive against an opponent that was more intent on riling him than playing tennis. Gard looked solid enough, if not spectacular. That might be a good match to be fair
Match of the day for me was Brezac against Maher. Maher looked underranked, and could have won it in 2, he was a break up in the second. Brezac looks like a fighter though.
Sitting in the sun in Edinburgh watching tennis is a good way to pass time, I must admit!
SF: (8) Alex Slabinsky WR 529 v (2) Mathieu Rodrigues (FRA) WR 341
H2H 2-0, Sweden F2 2008 6-4 3-6 6-1 and last year's Final here, which Slabba won 7-6(4) 7-5. That of course means Alex has a stack of points to defend here!

Rodrigues defeated Feaver 7-5, 6-3 in the QF, then proceeded to beat Slabba 6-3, 7-5 in the semi, so Slabbers loses 12 points, but two semi's in a row shows good form from being unseeded and seeded 8th this week.
