Bit tough to draw the No 1 seeds though before they've even got used to playing with each other. But are you implying it's more of a photo opportunity?
Heather had a decent partnership with Groenefeld earlier in the year, would have been nice to see them pair up again. Heather doesn't play doubles too often but she has the game to really post some decent wins in doubles. For the purpose of GB success in the Fed Cup this sort of experience is vital. Clearly the Anne/Hev partnership never really got off the ground.
As for the singles any wins this week will be a bonus, I for one have no expectations, a QF for any of them would a successful week in my opinion.
Tatishvili and Craybas must be 2 of the highest ranked non seeds.
With Anne's fall in the latest rankings out today, at WR 107 she is actually ranked below Tatishvili WR 105. Craybas is ranked WR 100 as against Elena'a latest WR 91.
Tough tasks, especially on clay.

Not surprisingly Anne lost 6-3 6-4, but I do like tht way she fought hard in the second set. I would have thought Bally should beat Craybas, so I have my fingers crossed for that.
(6)Elena Baltacha (GBR) d. Jill Craybas (USA) 46 61 62
Well done Bally, first win on the dirt this year if Im not mistaken
I think the first and second set scores might have been the other around.
This was probably our best chance of round one success, so happy with that. Heather's match I reckon is 50/50, her opponent has come through qualifying and is generally on the up and at this stage in her career Hev is still a novice on this surface.
