It's going to take an even bigger effort for Fran or Jade to get any further - Werner has dropped just 7 games in 6 sets so far this week and Tabak actually won the title here last year, beating Lisa in a very close Final, but only managed to play one tournament in the 10 months between the end of May 2010 and early April 2011, so she is massively underranked. She reached her career high of 546 in May 09 when she had just turned 18.

 Isn't Romana also the girl who infamously served underarm against Laura at Wimbledon 08?

-ova means "daughter of", a bit like putting "son" on the end of western family names. Not sure why she would discard it though.
