Liam lost 8-6, will be tough even for Liam to come back from given he looked the more likely winner for most of that first set.

Darn, Liam had a set point in the tiebreak there at 6 - 5 on his own serve but then lost both service points.

All been very close.  Although Liam was twice a break ahead, he was immediately broken back both times, the second time when serving for the set, and generally he has had just a bit more pressure put on his serve than vice versa.

Hopefully he'll just keep playing his game and still give himself a chance.

Liam serving  at  * 1 - 4 in the secoind set, was broken to 30 in game 4.

Needs a break, and not yet got past 15 in Torresi's 3 service games this set so far.

Broken again, this time almost certainly to make it too much to ask, losing the last 3 points from 40 - 30.

Torresi will serve for the match.   1  -  5 *

Torresi serves out to 30 and wins  7 - 6 (6)   6 - 1

Such a pity Liam couldn't have nicked the first set, serving for it at 5 - 3 and with a set point on his serve at  6- 5  in the TB.

I can't see the results anywhere, so from yesterday, Marsalek lost to Sakharov 1 & 2 and Feaver lost to Folie 2 & 4.

Burzi who beat Dan Smethurst in R1 has since fairly comfortably beaten the no 3 and 7 seeds.  He also had some pretty decent wins in the Napoli Challenger last week.

Burzi also beat Slabba the only other time they played, at Udine back in 2006. He hit a career high of 269 in 2008.
