LTA twitter reports that Dr No lost (he was the no 6 seed playing a Belgain qualifier ranked more than 400 places below him, so that's pretty bad ), as did Sean Thornley, who was playing (8) Torresi (ITA) ranked less than 100 places above him - the kind of chance he needs to take if he wants to move up the rankings.

Having met Mike Dickson briefly last week, it's tempting to try to claim the credit for convincing him of the need for the Mail to cover GB Futures, but I think he's gone to Bournemouth of his own accord! LOL He tweets:
"Watching a supremely ill tempered match between Oli Golding and crafty Italian in Bournemouth. Raw tennis. Excellent."
Feaver has got the break back in the 2nd btw, 6-2 *4-4 Ad-in v fellow qualifier Gigounon.

Not surprised really by Slabba beating Bloomers here. Bloomers had a disappointing result in the British Tour here last week and it just isn't his surface.
Disappointing though for Dan, especially after last week's displays in Italy and him taking the trouble to then come here and qualify, though I do note that Burzi himself had a couple of very good looking wins in qualifying in the same Italy Challenger. I am sure Dan had real thoughts that this could be a good week. If he could find more consistency, his best should have him ranked much higher
Encouraging looking scorelines in the most part from Oli and Kyle, and as said Liam did the kind of expected with a decent draw.
