James Ward is a DA here and is looking to snap a 7-match losing streak (excluding DC) at the event he won as a qualifier two years ago. He isn't defending any points because he went out to Estrella in R1 last year.
Qualifying has plenty of unranked players in it, including a 14-year-old Brit playing his first senior match against a 40-year-old who hit a career high of 973 nearly 11 years ago!
Typically, Boggo and Morgan Phillips (good to see him giving this one a go!) are the two seeds in the third qualifying section, but since that means they both avoid (1) Bester and (4) Odesnik, being in the same, section may not be the worst thing that could have happened to them - let's just hope one of them actually wins through!
QR1: Alexander Sendegeya UNR v (wc) Julien Link (GER) UNR
QR2: (q3) Alex Bogdanovic WR 360 v Catalin Gard ROU WR 470 or Rodrigo Vals (ESP) UNR
QR2: (q5) Morgan Phillips WR 441 v Carlos Nicolopulos (VEN) WR or (WC) Ryotero Matsumura (JPN) UNR

So good to see Mors playing in the US. I like Boggo, too, but hope Mors qualifies since he doesn't play Challengers that often.
So in an ideal world, it would be nice if Morgan would beat Boggo in the FQR. Then they should lock up some main draw player in their hotel room (with a PS3 and lots of good food) and let Boggo get the LL. Then Morgan can beat Boggo in the finals of the main draw.
