RE: Wimbledon 2011 Wildcards

Last 3 main draw WCs went to Eleni Daniilidou (won Nottingham Wk 1), Sabine Lisicki (Birmingham finalist) and next one in.

Two good choices, but there's a lot of debate on twitter and TennisForum about whether or not Sabine's WC is allowable because of the wildcards she has had already this year. Personally I'm pleased to see her there, even if the rules are being 'bent'. I haven't found news on the 3 remaining QWCs, but one must go to Kristyna Pliskova.

They said at Queens this week that Kristyna Pliskova was a QWC.

Personally I think they should have given Pliskova a main draw wild card if the best alternative they could come up with was 'next in main draw'.

The remaining QWCs went to one more Brit, Jade Windley (the higher-ranked losing QWC playoff semi-finalist), plus Kristyna Pliskova and Casey Dellacqua.

What has Casey Dellacqua ever done to deserve a QWC for Wimbledon it should have gone to another British player

Nowt, so far as I'm aware.  At least Joko's an aspiring Brit... hmm

Well I'm suprised her name wasn't even mentioned... Her passport due in September if I remember correctly.
