It is now raining so they have decamped to the NTC.

The match between Katy and Daneika could be interesting. On paper Daneika should have no problem but from what I saw of Katy at Bournemouth it could be quite a match.

That's a good result for Francesca and it seems she would have a great chance from that bottom half now. Hope she can pull it off.

Fran beat Lucy in Bournemouth too, but we were kind of under the impression clay was more her surface, so that's a very good win. Hard on Lucy, who was the surprise winner of a QWC here last year of course.

I see Pippa Horn turned round the result against Aimee Gibson from Nottingham qualifying.

I do think she may be quite an intriguing prospect if she can stay fit and now maybe start gathering together some good junior tournaments and results.

So Katy Dunne produced the surprise result that I thought might be possible. I doubt if she can do the same to Sam, but who knows.

Fran's bouncing around with happiness (or as close as you can get on Twitter!), as well she might. Great week for her, and good to see Samantha Murray get through too, she probably has a decent chance of winning at least one match if she gets a good draw.

Very pleased for the pair of them. Great for Sam to earn this chance after taking the back up option of US college and pretty exciting for the young Fran. Good luck to both.

Fran great result saw her at Edinburgh last year on clay definitely has the potential to get up the rankings hope she does really well. Sam Murray stand out player in these qualifications she should have been awarded a qwc by LTA/Wimbledon as a right.

Glad to see Sam getting through. With a decent draw she could pull a few suprises in Wimbledon qualifying. I'd be very suprised if she isn't near the top 400 or higher by the end of 2011.

Have to say i'm suprised Fran came through. Hope she gives a good account of herself.

Have to say where were the Rens? Dean?

Was very glad to see Katy and Pippa give this event a go.
