What a strong and positive announcement. Well done to Ms Cavaday for all her accomplishments on the court, and well done to her for offering a safe space for young athletes to discuss issues that they might not be comfortable discussing otherwise. I hope her career as coach and mentor is a really successful one.
Very sad to hear this.....only seems like yesterday that I was holding my breath during that great match against Hingis....I still remember telling my wife that this was an English teenager about to beat Hingis.....but alas....still.....great memories that I am grateful for....thanks Naomi and best wishes in your new adventure!!!!
Its Broady, although I did see one post suggesting both Naomi's were there.
Maybe she wants one last hurrah? Seems a bit odd though, she couldn't qualify for wimbledon fully fit and when training, so if she did try for a one off can't see it going well.

I like OEM's tweet as well:Why we should always be careful what we say and how we say it about tennis players. This is a VERY hard sport http://bit.ly/l4OaPl

I said something much pithier a few posts back (and 2 weeks before Neil Harman), LOL.
Oh well, I suppose one has to be a real JOURNALIST to receive validation ...

Tweet offered as corroboration, Ratty. Can't be said too often. Also your comment was on the board, so people would automatically have seen it. But they might not have seen OEM's.
Just noticed that Naomi is on the acceptance list for Sharm on the 23rd of June. Is this the start of a comeback, or maybe just some fun while on holiday?
WC for 50k qualyfying maybe a comeback after all or just a summer of fun. Other QWCs for Maia Lumsden Sarah Askew Eden Silva Freya Christie an Gabriella Taylor.
Naomi beat Mel 2 and 1; Harriet beat Steph and Katie beat Fran in 3. Cav and Harriet teamed up to beat Mel & Katie in the doubles; the Cumberland club won overall.
