Not great from Tara but then again I wouldn't have thought any type of clay court surface would be her forte.
Will have to wait for the grass court season before seeing where her game is at the moment.

She came bottom of the lucky loser draw unfortunately http://assets.usta.com/assets/1/15/alternates_lucky_losers65.PDF so no chance of her getting in. She'd have been first in line had it been an ATP Challenger, where they still base it on rankings.

Yep, it is clay after all...which makes me wonder why Mel is going out here?? Has she ever played clay events with success?

Edit - I checked. Mel hasn't played on clay outside FO since 2006, when she won a round in a Spanish 25k. So who knows, it could be her thing! If you don't try, you never know...
