SF: (1) Anne Keothavong WR 110 vs Valeria Savinykh (RUS) WR 204
Match to be played not before 11.00 BST on Court 2, but there's a men's singles QF (van der Merwe/Martin) under way on there at the moment. On the face of it, Anne should run out the winner, but Savinykh's put out the fourth & seventh seeds on her way to the semis, so she's obviously no slouch & given Anne's current trials & tribulations, I'd say it's touch & go...
That's really good news I believe that will be the first time Anne has been in the top 100 since her Auckland 2009 semi-final points dropped off at the start of last year- she got back as high as 102 just under a year ago but didn't quite make it back into the top 100 at that stage.
She beat Savinykh 6-4 7-6(2) at the Nottingham 50K last year.

Oh my, that could that be the worst stats error I've ever made - thanks both for putting me right so I could correct it.
I suppose it may be just as fleeting a return to the top 100 this time with Fes points due off at the start of May, but after those 70 points come off, she's only got 30 more points to defend before August.

70 points to come off for Fes, 70 more points to be potentially earned here ( in addition to the 80 she has already secured ) if Anne wins the title here.
Good to see Anne finish the QF off so comfortably this morning. Now it's a great chance to cash in with a semi against another player outside the top 200.
