Excluding DC that's his 7th loss in a row

I'd just tweeted that before coming on here, bad isn't it - he really needs to start scoring ranking points soon, doesn't he. Gutting that he couldn't close out the 2nd set cry.gif

Dino got his revenge, albeit in the doubles:

QF:  Philip Bester & Frank Dancevic (CAN/CAN)* lost to Go Soeda (JPN) & James Ward by 6-7(2) [they actually served for it at 5-3 or 5-4, but were broken...! disbelief  At least this time he was able to turn it round! wink ] 0-6 biggrin

* The Canucks saw off the top seeds, Carsten Ball & Gucci, in the first round!

The boys will face either the fourth seeds, Nicholas Monroe & the infamous Donald Young, or Amer Delic (BIH) & yet another Canuck, Pierre-Ludovic Duclos (one of Dino's erstwhile partners, if memory serves), in the semi. pray.gif

Dino's the first Brit through to a final this weekend:

SF:  Go Soeda (JPN) & James Ward defeated (4) Nicholas Monroe & Donald Young by 6-3 2-6 [10-8] biggrin

Final:  Go Soeda (JPN) & James Ward vs (3) Vasek Pospisil & Bobby Reynolds (CAN/USA)

Pospisil & Reynolds saw off the second seeds, Fisher & Huss, in three (10-4 in the MTB).

Just noticed that James is defending 15 doubles points this week.  Reaching the final here guarantees him 48! wink

Sadly, the final was a round too far for Dino & Soeda:  they lost by 2 & 4. cry
