He was 4-0 up in the first.

Good to see after my wafflings about Oli  smile     And it would certainly be folie to write him off in his next match.

Better from Oli this week and a comprehensive win in the doubles to back it up. Have no idea how good his next opponent is but I would like to think an upset is well within his grasp.

Lucky loser indeed! He'll play (5) Pablo Martin Adalia WR 453 in R2.

Slabba does get the second seed Clar Rossello.

Both results tweeted by the players themselves. What a great result for Slabba on the devil dust! smile.gif He plays the winner of Jack's match in the QFs.

Oli: "Played a very good match today but lost 63 76(10) .. Gutted not to take the second set after a few set points !"

Great result for Slabba, Clar-Rossello has been sweeping up these Spanish futures and is around 155 in the race currently. So very good result.

Not sure how good that Belgian guy is, but certainly a bit better from Oli this week.

Yes, he's won 3 Spanish Futures so far this year and reached the Finals of 4 others!

Intriguingly, both my tweets about Slabba's win today have been retweeted by a Bollywood actress with nearly 40000 followers. A bit unusual (to say the least) but it turns out she was brought up in London, so perhaps she's a friend of Alex. smile.gif

I also noticed that Judy Murray was now following you Steven. It seems that the news has got out that you are the man to follow on twitter for British tennis results.

Good effort from Jack going down 6-3 4-6 2-6 and so Slabba will face the 5th seed in the quarters.

Yes, that was a bit of a (pleasant) shock. smile.gif I wonder if she's hardcore enough to resist the temptation to unfollow when she sees how much I tweet about 10Ks and the like. wink

Actually, it always amazes me how few followers get fed up and unfollow - virtually all the unfollows I get are spammers (the ones I don't manage to block first!), so clearly there are plenty of people out there interested in the GB pros and looking for more info. If we're managing to reach more and more through a combination of the forum and twitter, that's really cool. smile.gif

We seem to have outed another forum lurker too: biggrin

@alexslabinsky: "she is a very good friend indeed! :)"

It's very nice to have lurkers like this, just a little disconcerting when you realise this means they must read all this rubbish we write about them! (speaking only for myself when I say rubbish, obviously ... ashamed)
