Hmm, at least most players don't try and look to extraneous circumstances as much as some posters.
I have seen matches where interruptions and delays seem to me have worked to British players advantage, but some posters, often for the very same matches, always seem to think they haven't ( indeed sometime the reverse ), or are likely to be unhelpful.
It seems to me to be a kinda British "things conspire against us" thing.

James is at least getting something out of his time in Colombia:
QF: (WC) Nicolás Pastor & Marco Trungelliti (ARG/ARG) lost to (2) Pierre-Ludovic Duclos (CAN) & James Ward by 0-4 retired
SF: Marcel Felder & Carlos Salamanca (URU/COL) vs (2) Pierre-Ludovic Duclos (CAN) & James Ward
33 points guaranteed!
And 33 points is all it's going to be: unfortunately, the boys lost by 3 & 2. Can't say I'm entirely surprised, given the surface & the nationality of their opponents!
Pity for James and partner. Re surface and nationality of opponents would have thought that much less an issue in doubles than in singles, which surely even on clay must be much more serve and volley.
Anyway though, can't say I'm that bothered about James' getting loads of doubles points or not. I do hope though that he can soon get his singles year really going.
