Josie Kuhlman is 15 years old and has not played a senior ITF or WTA match before. Indeed, she is only 15th in the Florida under-16 rankings and has a junior ITF ranking of 811, a ranking she got to mainly by reaching the Final of a G4 in Atlanta last October. Her mother may well be Caroline Kuhlman, who played the slams in the early 1990s and whose last win on the tour was against a Brit, Jo Durie.
