and at least the points get half decent now. although as always huge extra for winning the whole thing, that would proabbly jump him back top the 350's

Though I don't know what's more shocking, an England (via Belgrade) v Scotland semi in the middle of Arkansas or Stircrazy not being able to spell Bogdanovic! (ok, I know adding the h is one way to represent Bogdanovi, but ... )
H2H 1-0 to Boggo - 4-6 7-6 6-3 at Queen's in 2007.
Is it slightly sad that when they last met nearly 4 years ago, Boggo was ranked 117 and Baker 247?

Oops! Must've been the excitement of the prospect of a guaranteed Brit finalist in good ol' Little Rock!
Solid win for Boggo and a very good result for Jamie!!
Will be very interesting to see who comes out on top of this one, Jamie will be full of confidence after just taking out the 4th seed in a close one, but Boggo's probably the better player? Im not brave enough to say who will win, but i think whoever does will edge it in 3.
Of course, this cuts the number of Brits in Tallahassee from 3 to 1 but with 5 points each for today's wins and one of them going to get another 7 or 19 points on top of that (plus a week's rest to boot!) as opposed to the Challenger qualifying lottery, I'd say it's worked out ok

Yes, would have been awful if they'ed each just got 3 points for reaching a futures QF and also were too late for Challenger qualifying sign-in.
But today has made things much better
Another pretty decent futures week round the globe. Going to have 48 points minimum in total including 3 finalists who could yet add significantly by winning titles.
Boggo maintains his excellent record against fellow Brits in two tight t/bs, but doesn't get the revenge showdown with the Gooch. However, he will be back in the top 5 on Monday week, overtaking Milton and Bloomers.
SF: Alex Bogdanovic WR 396 beat Jamie Baker WR 398 by 7-6(5) 7-6(4)
FI: Alex Bogdanovic WR 396 v (7) Arnau Brugues-Davi (ESP) WR 375 (CH 218 last May)
These two have not played each other before. ABD knocked out Tim Bradshaw earlier this week but lost to Flembo in 3 sets in Pingguo last month and to Dan S in Queen's qualifying last year.

really pleased for Alex to come through there, was always going to be a tough match, and i know he's not enjoying the condtions over there so it's nice to overcome that.
fingers crossed he can finish the job tomorrow.

A good week, but I'm surprised the Final wasn't a lot closer. Pity. Boggo will overtake Milton and Bloomers to get back in the GB Top 5 on Monday week unless Chris goes mad in Soweto and reaches the Final there.

that's a shame, considering how good Boggo normally is in finals i can only surmise that Davi was really feeling the conditions that day. Still a good week by Alex, i know he really wasn't enjoying playing there so to make the final, inc beating Baker and a top 200 guy along the way was a good showing. few weeks off then we'll see how he fares on the clay in Sarasota.
