Yes, similar strength of field but a 50K so more points on offer.  So, go girls !

Thats a toughie, Robbo on her best form would have a reasonable chance, but on current form probably no more than a 25% chance.
Happy to see Laura is playing doubles this week and has managed to get herself a top partner. So if the singles doesn't work out she will hopefully get some matches on the doubles court

yes, nara is a good up and coming player.

she partnered with a brit recently in dubs, but can't remember who it was.

Heather at Auckland WTA, I think (haven't looked it up, so might be wrong)

Spot on Steven.
The only positive I can see about this matchup is that Laura loves playing the underdog role, unlike last week when it was a case of who beat her.

Does anyone know if Laura plays today?

She may have played last night but there are no results out yet for the 'other' courts. However, since she is playing  a high seed you would of thought she would play on the main court in which case her match will be today, and hopefully covered by bet365.

They tend to put the Chinese girls on the main court so possibly not, if indeed she didn't play today.
Just think if we had an OOP we would know for certain what was happening !!

We finally have the full list of results for today, and Laura didn't play her singles but had a nice win in the doubles 6-3 6-1.
