Yes it is, though he did lost to Daniel in 3 sets in a junior event on clay, also in Spain, in 2009 despite bagelling him in the 2nd!

It's great to see him continuing to pick up the points he should pick up, and nice revenge for his loss in juniors 2 years ago. smile.gif

He's going to have to go some to beat Trujillo though, whose career high is 209 (from 2007) - the 31-year-old has compiled a 6-match Brit-bashing streak (Mackin, Phillips, Pauffley, A Ward, Smethurst - the last three a triple Brit-bash on his way to the Cartagena title last year- and, most recently, Feaver) since losing to James Ward in 2005.

Liam continues to take care of business in what seems a very professional manner. A player ranked 380 is a big step in class though. Liam is clearly playing well, it is not an impossible task.

He will be warming up as I post this....

Good Luck!

This match should be finished unless it is raining, but I can find no Tweet or site with the result...

Liam tweeted:

Lost 3 and 1. Good match but tough to hold serve with a bad elbow and wrist! Will put a better fight next time
